The Mortality Information System (SIM) was created by DATASUS for the regular collection of mortality data in the country. Since the creation of SIM, it has been possible to collect mortality data comprehensively, in order to support the various spheres of management in public health. Based on this information, it is possible to carry out situation analyses, planning and evaluation of actions and programs in the area.
